MTN in partnership with Football Legends and ambassadors are embarking on a Roadshow, MTN8 Trophy Tour, Coaching Clinic with a donation of Football kits in the Gauteng province from Wednesday, 11-to-Tuesday, 17 Sept.

• Wednesday, 11 September – MTN8 Football Legends visited Ekurhuleninews offices, with the MTN8 Trophy to talk about the MTN8 campaign where fans and MTN customers can Opt-In by dialling: *144*8#, recharge with R10 or more and then stand a chance to win their share of R8-million in prizes as well as the ultimate LFS prize of R1-million cash & an opportunity for a fan and a partner to go to a football experience of their choice anywhere in the world. ▪ NB: SA football lovers are encouraged to continue to stand a chance to win big in the LFS competition throughout the tournament, whether their top eight (8) team has been knocked out of MTN8 or not. Fans need to continue participating in the competition until the MTN8 Final.

• Thursday, 12 September – MTN8 Football Legends will be at Westbury Secondary School, in Westbury at 12:00 - 14:00 to conduct a football Coaching Clinic and give learners tips of how to be great on the football field. Football kits will also be donated to the school to ensure that the learners continue to practice their skills even after the legends have left.

• Friday, 13 September – Football Legends will continue the MTN8 Trophy Tour visiting various media houses.

* Saturday, 14 September - MTN8 Football Legends will engage with the Jhb football fans at Phumlani Mall in Tembisa between 14:00 - 18:00 helping to enter the LFS competition so that they can also stand a chance to become millionaires like Brian Khuzwayo.

▪ Tuesday, 17 September - MTN8 Football Legends will engage with the Pretoria fans at Nkomo Village in Atteridgeville between 14:00 - 18:00 helping to enter the LFS Competition.

**NB: Community members and football fans are encouraged to attend the various Mall activation as they will stand a chance to win instant prizes of their choice which include appliances and merchandise.

New Campaign Elements - MTN8 2019/20 Put Fans in Control with “OWN YOUR GAME”

▪ MTN launched the 2019/20 MTN8 Wafa Wafa on 07 Aug 2019. Several innovations mean that football lovers are now able to control the game through the “OWN THE GAME” fan campaign. This year’s campaign gives fans the opportunity to be a part of tournament decisions as the series of matches unfolds, giving fans the power of choice. These new elements include: o The Power to “Choose Your Man of The Match (MOM)” o The Power to “Choose Your Moments of Brilliance (MOB)” o The Power to “Choose Your Prizes to be Won” o The Power to “Choose Your MTN Fantasy Team” as well as o The Power to “Choose Your Favourite Legends”

The MTN8 Football Legends that were chosen by fans for 2019/20 season are: Benedict Vilakazi, Benson Mhlongo, Fabian McCarthy, Jabu Mahlangu, Joseph Makhanya, Josta Dladla, Katlego Mphela & Thabo Mooki.

To participate in the new MTN8 elements, fans need to visit the MTN Facebook @MTNSA and Twitter page: @MTN8 and stand a chance to win their share of R8 million in prizes. The hashtag will be #MTN8.

Returning MTN8 Campaign Elements: ▪ This season sees the return of the popular Last Fan Standing (LFS) Competition – where fans and MTN customers can opt-in by dialling: *144*8#, recharge with R10 or more and then stand a chance to win their share of R8-million in prizes as well as the ultimate LFS prize of R1-million cash & an opportunity for a fan and a partner to go to a football experience of their choice anywhere in the world. ▪ The MTN8 “Last Journalist Standing” (LJS) competition - is back where journalists will be rewarded through the weekly “Media Online Quiz”. The LJS winner and partner will also join the LFS winner in the football trip experience somewhere in the world. ▪ The “Goals for Charity” initiative is also back and will again see MTN and the PSL making a R10 000 donation for each goal scored in regulation time, during the tournament (this excludes penalties). ▪ On game day, MTN subscribers at the stadium will automatically receive 1GB of FREE DATA on their devices for each goal scored at the stadium (excluding penalties).
