On 2019-08-03 Saturday, a 7 year old boy was knocked down by an Avanza at Diliza street,Zenzele Ext 12 Mayfield in Daveyton.The boy was rushed to Daveyton Clinic for medical assistance but succumbed to the injuries. a case of culpable homicide is being investigated at Putfontein saps.
One member of the community who wished to remain anonymous said, they've been engaging the municipality to put up speed humps as this was not the first accident where a pedestrian is knocked off by a speeding vehicles.
