A 34yr old woman and 21yr old male were arrested on Wednesday, 07 August around 11am in Windmill Park when they were found in possession of mandrax, crack cocaine, nyaope and dagga with an altogether estimated street value of over R6,000.
The arrests followed when the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) swiftly responded on information received when the pair residing at Lindelani Informal Settlement was found in possession of twenty-one (21) crack cocaine rocks, eighteen (18) half mandrax and five full mandrax tablets, fifteen (15) dagga pokes weighing eighty-five (85) grams as well as eleven (11) plastic-wrapped nyaope. Additionally, the DEU members confiscated cash amounting to R650 from the woman.
They were were detained at Dawn Park police station charged with possession and dealing in narcotics. They appeared in Vosloorus Magistrate's Court on Thursday, 08 August.
