A DAGGA DEALER OPERATING FROM THE TAXI RANK NABBED IN ALBERTON

Acting on a tip off from a concerned taxi commuter, the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit Members responded swiftly and a male suspect found with plastic packets of marijuana, was apprehended inside the Padstow taxi rank.

Sunday (03 Nov) at 11:40 in Alberton area on Padstow road, armed with a description of the lawbreaker, Officers cornered and searched a 26-year old male suspect, before 15x ziplocks and 1x bank size ziplock of dagga valued at R1200 with R1780 cash believed to be proceeds from his illicit weed trading, were uncovered.

The suspect was booked at Alberton police station on charges of possession and dealing in dagga. He is expected to appear in the Palmridge Magistrate's Court soon.
