Thandi Buthelezi (a construction company owner) was shot at the new RDP houses development site in Tsietsi section,on July 13,2020,early in the morning. “This shooting follows after a series of other killings and attacks on the other parties which are involved in the Tsietsi Extension ten (10) RDP housing project, especially those who are allocated tenders and occupying senior positions within the area of development, the matter extends as far as people allegedly occupying RDP houses which don’t belong to them, claiming to have bought the houses from certain individuals who are known to be leaders in the Tsietsi Township,’’ revealed a source who spoke on condition of anonymity.
However when the newspaper spoke to the Police communication officer, Captain Mega Ndobe, he stated that, “the Eden Park police officers received information that a women was shot, but when they arrived on the scene they only found three empty cartridges, the victim had already been taken to the Phola Park clinic in a critical condition and she later died in the Clinic on the day of arrival, no one has been arrested with alignment of the shooting, but a skeleton docket has been opened at the Eden Park police station with ongoing investigation, anyone with information regarding the shooting should contact the Eden Park Police Station on: 011 439 1806,” Ndobe indicated.
