AN ALLEGED DAGGA SUPPLIER NABBED FOLLOWING THE CRIME PREVENTION OPERATION IN SPRUITVIEW AREA

The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit Members on a new year's eve crime prevention operation in Spruitview area, visited a container (converted to a semi phone booth) and an alleged dagga supplier occupant, was handcuffed.

On Tuesday 31 December 2019 at 17h30 on Siluma drive, DEU Members body searched a 43-year old male and marijuana was confiscated. Officers uncovered 16x small and medium ziplocks of dagga valued at R1600 with R1720 cash, believed to be earnings of illegal trading. The lawbreaker was detained at Katlehong police station. He is facing charges of possession and possible dealing in dagga.

The arrested suspect, will appear at the Palmridge Magistrate's Court soon.
