Yesterday (29 Aug) between 13h00 and 13h15 in Vosloorus area, two (2) groups from the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit Members on routine patrol, stop and searched a 29yr old suspicious looking male on Mbande street where eleven (11) full, seven (7) halves and two (2) quarters of Mandrax tablets were uncovered to the value of R1700.
At 13h15, the second group approached a 26yr old male found idling at the corner of Hattingh and Sefelo, before two hundred and forty two (242) grams of dagga estimated to be R3600 and R124 cash were confiscated. On closer inspection, the suspect was arrested on the similar charge, last week on Thursday the 22nd.
Both suspects were booked at the Vosloorus police station, for possession and dealing in illicit substances. They are expected to appear in the Vosloorus Magistrate's Court soon.
