The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit on Sunday, 23 June around 09h30 arrested a suspected drug-dealer who was found in possession of illicit substances in the form of mandrax tablets and khat.
The arrest was effected at Phase 5A in Buhle Park when the suspect was found in possession of five full mandrax tablets, four quarter mandrax tablets and sixteen ziplocks of khat with the street value of R3,500. Cash amounting to R235 believed to be proceeds from the illicit dealings was also confiscated from the suspect.
The 35yr old South African male was detained at Elsburg police station on charges of possession and dealing in narcotics. He was expected to appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
