DSTV Cartoon Network Pop-Up

7th of December 2019-Kids had lots of fun filled with laughter and adventure as the DStv cartoon network pop-up made its stop at Chris Hani Mall,Vosloorus. The day was filled with some exciting dance-offs, prize giveaways, fun activities and kids interacting with their favourite characters which included Four Arms, Heat Blast, Darwin, Gumball and so forth.

MC and actor Pule Mokatsanyane made sure that the kids were fully entertained.DStv Access together with cartoon network brought the amazing experience to the kids; Pule said “this was a good time for the kids to experience what they always see on TV. They needed to have a mutual relationship and meeting with all the boys and girls,as they know the cartoons and follow them.

The kids enjoyed watching shows on stage and Pule was one of the actors alongside their favourite characters. “We also have some stage activities from Ben 10 which is about 20 minutes stage performance, and also The Amazing World of Gumball that are also in stage and giving us a spectacular show.Pule said”

The main goal was to give the kids a live experience of what they always see on TV, It is magical as you can be see their reaction to. They actually think it’s out of this world and unbelievable for them. One of the kids who enjoyed this amazing experience said, he loves Cartoon Network. The 12-year-old said “I love Cartoon Network because there are some of the things you will never find in real life,but you can find in Cartoon Network. I enjoy watching Adventure Time, Teen Titans Go, Gumball and Darwin new episodes,and many more.”

Pule says that what DStv Access and Cartoon Network is trying to do is to connect with kids from the townships. “They are the people that support and encourage their parents to get DStv so they can watch all those cartoons and have an experience just like other kids,” he said.

The pop-up takes place more often during school holidays. “It takes place during those times because that’s where we can get time experience with them, that’s where they have more free time and more relaxed. All they want to do is to have fun, as we try to get them off the streets also,” said Pule.
