Yesterday (14 Sept) at 13h00, the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit Members received information from a concerned member of the community, about drug dealing at Kwa-Thema. The Unit responded swiftly and narcotics were found in one of the premises, on Malifika street.
On arrival at the given address, three (3) male suspects between the ages of 39 and 57 found in the yard, were thoroughly frisked and DEU members uncovered x2 half-moon of a drug known as rock, x1 paper with loose mandrax powder valued R3500 and R1800 cash, believed to be proceeds from the illicit sales of narcotics.
The arrested trio were detained at Kwa-Thema police station on charges of possession and dealing in narcotics. They are expected to appear in the Springs Magistrate's Court soon.
