MAN DETAINED FOR POSSESSION OF DAGGA WORTH R230K IN TSAKANE AREA

Responding to a tip off by concerned members of the community, the EMPD Specialized Task Team Unit Members moved into a house in Tsakane extension 19 and the male suspect found with thirty eight (38) bags full of marijuana, was apprehended. Yesterday (29 May) at 14h30 on Siyabonga street, the 47-year old was handcuffed and marched to Tsakane police station, after Officers found 190 kilograms, 8x big black bags containing dagga worth R230 000 and R42160 cash, stashed inside a wardrobe and underneath the bed, in his bedroom. The suspect is facing charges of possession and dealing in dagga. He is expected to appear at the Tsakane Magistrate’s Court soon.
