Microtech Computer Training held class of 2019 graduations ceremony on Sunday (1st September), at Phola Park, Thokoza. The ceremony consisted of 13 students(1 Male and 12 Females) that were graduating for computer literacy certificate.The school principal,owner Mr Sham Singh and the Director of the Phola Park campus Mr Charlie Kasambara handed over certificates to the students .They congratulated students for the great job. Mr Singh told students about their former students that have made use of the qualifications ,they have permanent jobs now. He advised them not to apply for computer jobs only, but any office job as their qualification could come in handy. “You should not get a certificate and put it away no matter how hard it is to find a job. Even if it is not a diploma, but your certificate works and you need to make it work by taking opportunities and applying,” said Singh. One of the graduates Lindokuhle Mthethwa said, she enjoyed attending the school as their teacher was very friendly and patient with them. She plans to study diploma courses in future.
Microtech aims at equipping all students for the workplace in a practical way, with a vision to at least assist about 200 students a year to find employment.
The school offers computer literacy certificate and diploma human resource, call centre, business management, cashier and office admin. It has 4 campuses in total with 3 based in Palm Ridge and 1 in Thokoza. They hold graduation ceremonies every month as they always have students who completed. The school also gives bursaries to at least 10 students every year.
