On Friday (16 Aug) and Saturday (17 Aug) in Eden Park, Boksburg and in Villa Lisa, the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit members on crime prevention operation, arrested four (4) suspects found with drugs known as Khat, Nyaope and dagga.
While on patrol in Eden Park area on Friday at 9:45, Officer stopped and searched a 47-year old male on Achmat Dangor street before x3 ziplocks of Khat to the street value of R900 were found in his possession. Not far from there on Leyland street at 10:00, the 46-year old female acting very strange, was cornered and frisked where x1 ziplock of Khat valued at R300 was uncovered. At 11:50 in Boksburg on Adderley street by the rugby field, the DEU arrested a 29-year old male found with x1 knotted plastic containing Nyaope to the value of R150. On Saturday (17 Aug) at 17h10 in Villa Lisa extension 2, Officers raided and searched a house where the 37-year old male occupant was found with x31 paper wrapped dagga weight 112grams, x1 ziplock of dagga with a mass of 59grams valued at R500 and R210 cash were confiscated.
The suspects were taken to Eden Park, Boksburg and Dawn Park police stations,they are facing charges of possession and dealing with narcotics. The will appear at the Palmridge, Boksburg and Vosloorus Magistrate's Court/s soon.
