RESISTING ARREST CHARGE ADDED TO A PAIR FOUND WITH NARCOTICS VALUED AT MORE THAN R5,000 IN PRIMROSE

Information received and swiftly acted upon by the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) members, led to the arrest of a pair, at the corner of Porter and School avenue in Primrose area. After the duo were cornered and frisked, Officers uncovered x10 ziplocks of Crystal Meth, x7 Mandrax tablets, x9 ziplocks of khat to the value of R5150 and R2600 cash suspected to be proceeds from illicit dealings. The male suspects who are 38 and 43 years of age, decided not to cooperate with Officers during the exercise, before they were incapacitated and marched to the Primrose police station where they were charged with possession and dealing in illicit substances, including resisting arrest. They are expected to appear in the Germiston Magistrate's Court soon.
