Law enforcers visited Jeugland Secondary School, as safety challenges at some of our schools are regularly arising, because of learners bringing narcotics and dangerous weapons, in school yards. Classes, scholars and their bag packs were frisked. Police found x10 big lighters, x4 ziplocks containing dagga, x6 boxes of cigarettes, x2 vape machines, x1 vape pouch with a spare battery and the coil, x2 myprodol capsules, x1 homemade dagga pipe and x2 flip pocket knives within the school premises.

Two (2) schoolboys, who are 16 and 18 years of age on grade 10 class, were chased and caught by Officers after trying to jump over the school fence, citing that they were scared because, we were going to detect that they smoked dagga, earlier on. Their Close relatives were summoned and currently, they are under their Parents care but, disciplinary measures are imminent from the relevant school committee.

All the items confiscated were sealed and booked in at Norkem Park police station with no incidents and arrest effected.
