On monday (09 Dec) at 12h40 in Benoni area during the crime prevention operation, the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit Members approached and body searched two (2) suspicious looking males found idling outside a fast food restaurant, at the corner of Bunyan and Elston where narcotics were discovered.
The suspicious pair, who are 25 and 37 years of age, were handcuffed and taken to Benoni police station, after Officers uncovered 1x block of khat, 1x quarter moon of cocaine, 1x piece of rock, 25x knotted plastics of nyaope valued at R3400 and R1370 cash.
Possession and dealing in illicit substance/s charges, were registered against the twosome and they will appear at the Benoni Magistrate’s Court soon.
