Monday (17 Feb) at 13h30 in Benoni area, the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit Team detained a male suspect and narcotics were confiscated. A suspicious 23-year old found idling on Elston avenue, was handcuffed following a body search after Officers uncovered 6x small and medium ziplocks of crystal meth, valued at R1500 and R460 cash. He is facing charges of possession and dealing in illicit substance, at the Benoni police station. The arrested suspect, is expected to appear in the Benoni Magistrate's Court soon.
