On monday (30 Dec) at 07:40 during a crime prevention operation, the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Drug Enforcement Unit Members were approached by concerned members of the community, about a female Zimbabwean national dealing in narcotics.
EMPD DEU Team, made a turn on Currey road in one of the buildings. The 35-year old female tenant found in her room with 3x plastic packets, 2x ziplocks of crystal meth, 4x plastic packets of khat, 8x poke, small and large ziplocks of dagga valued at R3000, a portable digital scale and R1432,50 cash, was handcuffed. Uncovered narcotics stashed in two (2) containers (a cookie tin and an aerosol), were confiscated.
The female suspect, who is currently at the lawful custody in Brakpan police station for possession and dealing in illicit substance, is expected to appear in the Brakpan Magistrate's Court soon.
