TWO KHAT DEALERS NABBED IN KATLEHONG AREA

On Monday (07 Oct) patrols in the south of Katlehong by the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Drug Enforcement Unit Members yielded two (2) drug dealers found in possession of khat worth R1200 in the streets. Both arrests took place around 9:30.The discerning eye of the passing Metro Police Officers, spotted the drug dealers by their suspicious actions. A 22 and the 26-year old males standing next to a shack, were approached and searched on Ntanga street, before 5x ziplocks of khat were found packed inside 2x sunglass covers and R580 cash.Both suspects were booked at Katlehong (Ramokunupi) police station on charges of possession and dealing in illicit substance. They are expected to appear in the Palmridge Magistrate's Court soon.
