TWO SUSPECTED DAGGA AND NYAOPE DEALERS NABBED IN DUDUZA – DRUGS VALUED AT OVER R5,000 SEIZED

On the morning of Wednesday, 26 June around 08h30, two male suspects were arrested in Duduza when found in possession of dagga and nyaope estimated to be worth R5,500 on the streets.

The suspects were pounced upon by the EMD Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) at the intersection of Linda & Nala Streets following a tip off. On searching the pair forty-two (42) nyaope packets, sixteen (16) ziplocks of dagga, seven dagga fingers and thirty-five (35) newspaper-wrapped dagga packets were uncovered. The DEU members also confiscated cash amounting to R550 believed to be proceeds from the sale of narcotics.

The pair, aged 24 and 26, was charged with possession and dealing in narcotics at Duduza police station. They are expected to appear in the Nigel Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
