A SPAZA SHOP OWNER NABBED FOR SELLING SCHEDULE 4 SUBSTANCES - IN VOSLOORUS AREA

On Wednesday (25 Mar) at 09:40 in Vosloorus area, at the corner of Barry Marais and Mc Botha, armed with info from a concerned customer, the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit Members stormed in one of the spaza shops, at a well-established shopping complex. The male suspect was handcuffed and pharmacist belongings, were seized.

A 28-year old shop owner is in lawful custody at the Vosloorus police station, after DEU Officers uncovered 42x (15g) of Lenovate ointment, 29x (15g) of Persivate ointment and 19x (15g) of Persivate cream valued at R4500.

The charge 'selling of schedule 4 substances by a person than a pharmacist, trainee pharmacist' has been registered against the arrested suspect, who is expected to appear in the Vosloorus Magistrate's Court soon.
