BMW KATHORUS CLUB hosted a Charity Run at Break Through Centre in Katlehong on the 10th of August 2019. This was a successful charity event comprising of an interactive program that included speeches, drama and other activities. One of the heartwarming speeches was given by one of the beneficiaries of the centre. She spoke on how the centre has been of assistance to her and her family and the positive impact it has made in their lives. In light of the 9th of August being Women’s Day, a group of young beneficiaries gave a performance depicting the pain of violence and abuse to women and children.
BMW KATHORUS CLUB made donations of personal care items on the day which include; Sanitary Pads, Toothpaste, Bath Soap etc. Mr. Raheim Mdaka (Chairman BMW Kathorus Club) delivered a speech at the event emphasizing the Club’s mandate which is giving back to the community. The Club was formed in November 2017 and has continuously made donations to different local charities on a monthly basis.
“On behalf of the Founder, Zodwa Latola, the board members, and the beneficiaries of Break Through Centre for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children, we are grateful for the personal care items we received. All items are of great use to the centre.” said Pastor Tshepi Motloung who is one of the board members at the centre. She also released a blessing upon the Chairman and the Members of the BMW KHATORUS CLUB for their sacrificial giving to charity organizations.
