The Boxer Hunger Relief Programme was created to assist organisations which are helping communities who have suffered as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic across South Africa and eSwatini. All Boxer Superstores in South Africa and the Kingdom of eSwatini added in-store donations from customers to their allocated monthly community outreach budgets which were then donated to store chosen nearby community organisations.
As the community champion Boxer has made a remarkable difference to many families and provided much needed groceries to organisations chosen by each Boxer Superstore. In May alone, more than 404 of these store-chosen organisations which assist the elderly, the young, the disabled and the vulnerable were assisted. “The support from customers and from the community in general has been incredible. We are proud to have been able to help many organisations that have been under pressure to care for the many families in crisis due to the effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic,” said Boxer Marketing Director Andrew Mills.
