The Minister of Social Development, Ms Lindiwe Zulu, together with the CEO of the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) - Ms Totsie Memela, Gauteng Acting MEC of Social Development Panyaza Lesufi and Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies Ms Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams, will visit SASSA pay points including post offices, ATMs and retail stores.
This is to observe the payment of social grants – particularly those for the elderly and persons with disabilities. SASSA has prioritised the payment of the elderly and people with disabilities from 30-31 March 2020.
