THOUSANDS GATHERED FOR MOTSEPE FOUNDATION NATIONAL PRAYER

Different religious became one on sunday (24th November 2019), at FNB Stadium,they all prayed for peace,gender-based violence and Ubuntu.The Motsepe Foundation hosted it’s annual National Prayer for the 3rd time since they started in 2017.They brought together various religious , faith-based organisations and members of the public to come pray for peace in our country.DR Motsepe said,The gathering was about to bring people from different religious organisation to pray together for unity of all South Africans under one roof.She said the prayer was very important especially since we going to 16 days of NO VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND CHILDREN,the violence that we have seen increasing in our country .Dr Motsepe said,unemployment is high in our country ,we know with our economy slow down that 29% of young people don’t have jobs and that means many people go hungry without food everyday,some of the children can’t go to school,sick people don’t get medical care, that’s why we have to pray.Post -1994 , we have seen our country going through serious challenges,some including corruption and significant violence against women and children.Live perfomances amongst others was Benjamin Dube,Joyous Celebration,Winnie Mashaba,Rebecca Malope,etc.Pastor Ray McCauley of Rhema Bible Church said,God always respond when people pray together.He prayed for unity in our nation.
