TOP COP WARNS LAWBREAKERS

While we celebrate women’s month, some mothers are sitting with crime in their homes, so said SAPS’ station commander Puleng Motaung from Crystal Park in Benoni east of Jozi. “We know women as powerful beings, but it’s saddening that some are weak that they fail to report domestic crime happening in their houses! Sitting with crime or keeping quiet increases high blood pressure and life will be at risk. “We recently had a case of a 15year old boy who raped her two sisters aged between three and five. “In some incidents during the night, we find girls in their 16s consuming alcohol in taverns, their responds is ‘it’s our first day, we won’t do again.’ Mothers should always make sure children are not involved in illicit activities and encourage reading. “SAPS is no longer a police force, but a police service. It’s all about service delivery. We need to work together and teach our children to look after public property and not to destroy it” Motaung urged women to report abuses from their husbands who collaborate with biased police: “If you report a domestic crime and find out nothing is happening or no arrests have been made, come and ask for me direct. If the police ask you why, tell them it’s private. With that we can eradicate crime on both sides.”

Speaking at an inauguration service held last Sunday at Ekurhuleni Reformation Centre, the senior cop whose career in law enforcement spans close to three decades, also warned bogus Pastors who fake resurrection, spray people with doom and even make people eat grass to start mending broken spirits and stop destroying souls.
